Medline: Searching for journal articles

Medline is a key database for searching for journal articles for medical and health literature. This session covers searching Medline through the Ovid interface, which is available to UCL and NHS users.

The session covers:

  • constructing an effective search strategy
  • finding full-text papers
  • printing and saving results
  • saving search strategies and creating alerts

Please note, this session is at the Royal Free Hospital Medical Library, Rowland Hill Street, Hampstead, London. NW3 2PF. Please allow sufficient travelling time. Nearest tube: Belsize Park. Nearest rail: Hampstead Heath. You should allow at least 30 minutes if travelling from Bloomsbury.
