Introduction to CINAHL: demonstration Online
CINAHL is a bibliographic database for searching for information on nursing, midwifery and allied health subjects. It contains references to journal articles, health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, audio-visuals and is updated daily. CINAHL is a good source of both quantitative and qualitative evidence on nursing-related topics.
This live online session, aimed at both NHS staff and UCL staff and students, offers a short demonstration, covering how to construct an effective literature search, to conduct a search using the Basic and Advanced options, to apply Limits, to save a Search strategy, to save and export results in various formats, including to bibliographic reference management tools.
After the demonstration there will be an opportunity to ask questions. The session will run for an hour, but tutors will remain for an additional 30 minutes if there are any questions which have not been answered during the hour.
Please note: this short demonstration does not offer hands-on practice or time to explore complex search queries. Please contact us for complex enquiries.
