Introduction to Mendeley: demonstration Online
Mendeley allows you to collect and organise reference information and to cite references in a Word document using a range of citation styles (e.g. Harvard style). It is useful for those writing essays, papers and dissertations. This live online session offers a short demonstration, covering how to set up a basic library, to collect items using online databases, and to organise citations in a Word document. Mendeley is freely available online to download for PC or Mac.
This short demonstration includes Mendeley online and Mendeley Desktop. Those wishing to learn about the new Mendeley Reference Manager should refer to online training and support at mendeley.com.
We will be demonstrating Mendeley Desktop for Windows. The software functions in a very similar way for Mac users, and therefore you will be able to apply what you have learned. Please note, however, we will not be able to address Mac-specific questions.
Please note: this short demonstration does not offer hands-on practice or time to explore complex queries. Please contact us for complex enquiries.
